Automation Technician supports the E&I Dept. with regards to the installation of DCS and PLC equipment, in line with company standards
To support all aspects in relation to E&I Services in conjunction with the Client’s needs, in order to meet the corporate business objectives in line with company standards.
The Automation Technician is responsible for:
Installation of DCS and PLC equipment
Troubleshooting of DCS and PLC equipment
Installation of peripheral equipment associated with DCS and PLC e.g. computers, UPS, Monitors, switches and Servers
Installation of Software associated with DCS and PLC
Calibration of Transmitters, Pressure Differential Switches, Temperature Devices, Solenoid Valves, Level Switches and Gauges, etc…
Loop checking and trouble shooting of new installations.
Installation of field instruments.
Assisting in the preparation of competitive bids to clients
Assisting in the evaluation of bids and attending site visits
Electrical Electronic Engineering Technician Diploma (EEET)
Three (3) years experience as an E&I Technician in the Industry
OR
Industrial Instrumentation Engineering Technician Diploma
Three (3) years experience as an E&I Technician in the Industry
Knowledge in reading drawings PIDs, One Line Drawings & Loop Drawings
Proficiency in Project management software is an asset
Proficiency in Auto CAD software an asset
