Specific qualifications and minimum requirements are:
Associates: applicants must have completed a degree in an Accounting and/or Financial Banking and should be pursuing a professional designation (ACA, ACCA, or CPA). Candidates should have obtained between 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience, Strong IT skills are essential.
Assisting in all stages of the audit engagement including planning with the main area of emphasis being on the execution of the field work.
Identification of significant matters noted during fieldwork and bringing these matters to team leader attention on a timely basis.
Preparation of list of outstanding points for client on assigned audit areas.
Drafting of management letter points for discussion with team leader.
Assisting in the timely preparation and review of year-end audited financial statements.
Conducting stock counts at clients’ offices/warehouses.
Complete and effective clearance of all coaching notes.
Delivery of progress/status reports to team leader.
Preparation of issue documents for team leader review.
Development of planning points for future years for assigned areas.
Developing recommendations for areas of improvement through management letters.
Monitoring of budget to actual for assigned audit areas.
Providing support to the senior members of the audit team.
Leading more junior team members in applying audit principles to various engagements.
Mailing and return of confirmations and legal letters and confirmation control.
Raising of, reviewing and following up on the sign off of performance appraisals in a timely manner.
Follow up on all outstanding matters relating to their sections after rolling off the job to ensure that items are received/cleared as early as possible.
Maintaining and building professional client relationships.
Assisting the audit team in any other areas related to your role.
