Assistant Professor, French

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Faculty responsibilities include teaching all levels of French language; participating in student recruitment and advisement; developing and participating in departmental projects; participating in curriculum review, revision and development; developing instructional materials; engaging in research and scholarly activities; serving on departmental, School and college-wide committees.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate students; evidence of excellence in teaching and in the use of creative/innovative pedagogies; knowledge of current trends in pedagogy; and evidence of scholarship and research. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should possess an earned PhD in French or Francophone Studies from an accredited institution with native or near-native command of the language and tertiary-level teaching experience.

TD  -  Doctoral Degree

$42,160 - $69,160
