Assistant Accountant
ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
Purpose:
To provide support to the Accountant and Finance team
General Responsibilities:
Process payments and documents such as invoices, vouchers and statements
Prepare & verify daily reports
Prepare daily income/sales & prepare daily journal entry
Compile monthly reports
Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules
Process expenses
Manage ledgers
Approve journal entries for posting to the general ledger
Check all Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables batches before posting to the general ledger.
Budgeting
Prepare VAT returns
Bank reconciliation, posting and balancing
Daily bank receipts postings
Enters, updates, and or retrieves accounting data from automated systems
Preparing of cash flow statements

Requirements:
Minimum three (3) years experience in a similar field
Must be ACCA Certified - Level 2
Must have experience with using Accounting software
Experience in a retail environment would be an asset
