ASSET CARE MANAGER

The Asset Care Manager shall report to the General Manager and shall be responsible for ensuring that the fixed assets of the company are maintained in good operating condition and that they are employed in the safest, most effective manner so as to maximize operating efficiencies and the financial return. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring efficient operations of the Asset Care Department, by the close management of a team of skilled Technicians and Supervisors.
  • Ensuring assets are in good operating condition as to enable Statistical Process Control standards to be met.
  • Ensuring that corrective maintenance is carried out on equipment in a timely manner so as to minimize downtime.
  • Establishing and maintaining an effective ongoing maintenance program including preventative maintenance of all plant machinery.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective records and techniques resulting in good cost control.Liaising closely with the stores department to ensure optimum provision of spare parts.
  • Participating in plant commissioning including installation and start- up of new equipment, recommendations of operating controls, and implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Continually developing the skills and knowledge of the personnel within the Asset Care Department by identifying and implementing training and developmental opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar capacity in a manufacturing environment

Core Competencies/Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of bottling plant machinery and systems (air compression, steam boiling, power plant and Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration)
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and programming of the same
  • Good problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer literate (Access, Excel, Word, AutoCAD)
