Our client, a medium sized food manufacturer, is looking for a strong administrative professional, comfortable working in an informal, dynamic and challenging environment.

 

Job Summary

To maintain the day to day financial, accounting and administrative services and organize and coordinate office operations and procedures ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly payroll for Staff.
  • Coordinate general administration of office.
  • Issue, record and authorize purchase orders.
  • Manage collections of accounts
  • Purchase and source all Materials
  • Plan and schedule materials purchases and payments
  • Coordinate orders and deliveries
  • Manage Petty Cash
  • Coordinate vehicle service and purchasing of parts
  • Schedule meetings with customers, suppliers and prospects
  • Coordinate repair and service of equipment
  • Oversee deliveries and errands
  • Recheck sales summary sheets and invoices, ensuring all correct and balances
  • Follow-up/communicate with export customers for orders and execution of orders
  • Liaise with brokers for shipping documents for export orders
  • Coordinate deliveries for export orders

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resource Management
  • Three (3) years’ experience at Senior Administrative Level
  • The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s permit and their own transport
  • Willing to work flexible working hours
  • Very effective organizational and time management skills
  • Computer skills including the Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), e-mail at a highly proficient level, knowledge of Quickbooks would also be an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Effective verbal, listening and written communications skills
