Active Home Centre

Active Traders Limited opened its doors in 1995. The company started its operations at Skibo Avenue in Kingston as a wholesale distributor of wood windows and doors, selling directly to hardware stores. 

 The onset of tiling trends shortly thereafter presented the opportunity to reach consumers directly in the local market. 

 In 1997, the company changed its business model and ventured into selling direct to consumers by opening the company’s first retail showroom (as well as a larger warehouse facility) in Marketplace (formerly the Challenge Centre). To meet growing demand Active Traders began offering ceramic and porcelain tiles and all related items (i.e. thinset, grout and sealers) as well as bathroom fixtures to consumers.

 A few years following this, in 2003, the company grew even further and sought to find a retail space to match our expanding needs. This led us to Dunrobin Avenue where we added, granite, other high quality stones, roofing and more to our product line.

After establishing ourselves at our Dunrobin location for just under 10 years, we went a step further with our expansion and constructed a new state-of-the-art showroom at 84 Constant Spring Road in Kingston which opened in May 2013.

To differentiate us further in the market, our new home appropriately titled Active Home Centre was created with the objective of housing six essential home enhancement departments under one roof making the shopping experience easier for our customers.  These departments house products needed for every aspect of your home such as flooring, granite and quartz, kitchens, doors, roofing, furniture and lighting.  We also stock a full range of bathroom products such as vanities, basins, toilets, showers, whirlpools, faucets and accessories.
