The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department.
JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
Reconcile records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
Investigate questionable data.
Compile data and preparing a variety of reports.
Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
Assist in month end reporting procedures.
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
CAT Qualified
A minimum of three (5) CXC O’ Level passes inclusive of Mathematics and English.
Pursuing ACCA Level would be an asset
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ability to multi-task.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Must possess good communication and inter-personal skills.
