GENERAL FUNCTION
The Accounting Officer is responsible for the provision of the monthly financial functions of the CERA project as well as giving support to the finance team in establishing accounting policies and procedures at the Branch level.
Follow up on Branches performance to ensure they are functioning according to established financial procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
q Sorting of invoices for payment ensuring where applicable the invoices are
authorized by the relevant officers
q Prepare requisitions and process cheques
q Ensure that petty cash vouchers are properly prepared and authorized
q Manage petty cash float as required
q Monthly preparation of financial report to meet reporting deadline
q Preparation of bank reconciliation to support the financial report
q Monthly reconciliation of Job ledger
q Support to the Finance team in establishing accounting policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
q At least two (2) years’ experience in Accounting
q Report writing
q Knowledge of Peachtree accounting software
q Microsoft Suite
