Job Description: Accounting Assistant (Accounts Payable)
Position Reporting to: Divisional Manager – Finance
JOB TITLE: Accounting Assistant
POSITION PURPOSE
Perform accounting work by applying modern accounting principles and techniques to a variety of recording and accounting matters.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify all Invoices for operational expenditure and ensuring the appropriate documentation and approval is obtained for the same.
Prepare weekly and Aged Payable report
Prepare weekly cash flow report based on expected operational expenditure
Evaluate all Accounts payable balances and resolve all unpaid invoices issues.
Evaluate and reconcile vendor statements and manage all inquiries.
Maintain the accuracy of all Accounts Payables accounts in the General Ledger.
Monthly General Ledger reconciliations for all categories of Accounts Payable and Accruals
Filing and scanning as necessary
