CGM Gallagher Insurance Brokers has over 160 employees with offices in Jamaica, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Grenada. CGM Gallagher has over 40 years experience in developing and administering insurance solutions for Caribbean clients and we are looking to hire an Account Executive/ Broker for our Property & Casualty department.
Job Scope:
This position is a sales one. The candidate’s primary function will be, to sell and broke property and casualty insurance in an effort to increase the Company’s market share in commercial businesses and organizations. Through an in-depth knowledge of risks and the insurance markets, the successful candidate will service existing clients and acquire new ones by leading the renewal, tender and prospecting processes.
Major Responsibilities:
Marketing CGMG’s broking brand to acquire new business, which will involve winning accounts against competitors.
Servicing existing client’s accounts to ensure retention by foreseeing their needs and getting them the best deal.
Prepare and submit brokers’ slips as required within the division’s SOPs in respect of New Business and Renewals.
Gathering data from the market, and assessing clients’ insurance needs and risk profile against the data. Help to devise new ways to mitigate risks for the client.
Building and maintaining strategic business relationships in the insurance and all professional industries.
Customizing specialized insurance cover for corporate clients.
Provide advice and assisting in settling any claims that occur.
Ensuring that detailed paperwork and correspondence is sent, received and kept.
Collecting Insurance premiums and processing accounts

Attentive listening and excellent oral skills
Effective time management abilities
Excellent comprehension of policies and contracts
Education: Insurance Diploma; and/ or partial completion of ACII or CIP qualification or equivalent is highly desirable; University Degree;
Formal training in Sales/Marketing/Customer Service
Experience: At least five (5) years General Insurance experience is required and a proven track record of success in a sales and broking environment will be desirable.
