Administrative Assistant – Legal Assistant
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Proofreading, editing correspondence, reports and other related materials for accuracy, completeness and compliance with established procedures and standards within the department.
Assisting in the execution of legal documents.
Composing and formatting a variety of complex legal correspondence and documents including resolutions, agreements, meeting agendas, presentations, reports, office memos, legal briefs/binders, spreadsheets and other office related letters using a variety of software applications.
Compiling, verifying and categorizing data.
Organising, and maintaining electronic filing databases and managing records within the department.
Compiling and assembling various legal materials from files and other sources for the Senior Division Counsel’s use.
Indexing, filing, locating and researching correspondence and other related documents.
Scheduling appointments, receiving and making telephone calls and other administrative duties.
Overseeing all clerical tasks that are necessary for keeping the department running efficiently.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills & Abilities
Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.0.
Ability to multitask effectively.
