Sales Settlement Officer

The Sales Settlement Officer assist with the daily balancing of Salesmen Recaps to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding balances or discrepancies and researches outstanding amounts with an aim to resolve and bring all Salesmen accounts up to date.

Job Title : Sales Settlement Officer

Qualifications and Experience:

•  Associate Degree in Business or any related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience in an accounting or settlement environment.
• Proven ability to effectively self-manage and deliver projects within specified timelines.
• Experience working in a Sales Administrative environment and Daily reconciliations /balancing

Specific Knowledge required to start

• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Working knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of relevant accounting software packages.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to Sales Contractors on daily reconciliation process.
• Review Recaps to ensure proper balancing.
• Reconcile the aged receivables
• Liaise with Area Managers, Sales Accounting team and Sales contractors to ensure effective clean-up of outstanding balances and the up to date maintenance of the Salesmen accounts
• Contacting customers in order to verify the legitimacy of credit issued and or investigate/collect on outstanding balances
• Inspects the recap sheets daily and all documents submitted by the Sales Contractors to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare weekly analysis of irregularities on D.T.S daily recaps.
