Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited (PPGPL), a subsidiary of the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago was formed in May 1989 and started production on June 15 1991.

PPGPL operates Trinidad and Tobago's only natural gas processing and NGLs fractionation facilities, and is the largest producer and marketer of propane, butane and natural gasoline in the Caribbean. It processes raw natural gas from the existing natural gas pipeline system and extracts natural gas liquids contained in the gas. This process allows it to deliver cleaner gas which is free of heavy hydrocarbons to its customer which supplies downstream petrochemical plants.
