Route to Market Sales Supervisor (Western Region)

To manage the sales of the company’s products and services within a defined geographic area. Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, short-and long term sales earnings.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  1. Performs sales activities and major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with Route –To-Market Manager.
  2. Manages personnel and develops sales and sales support staff.
  3. Review progress of Sales team throughout assigned areas.
  4. Implements and supervises the promotion and sales of products to maximize revenues
  5. Assist with collections and scheduling of discounts as per limit
  6. Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity
  7. Meets and maintains effective relationship with customers
  8. Collaborates with Marketing Managers to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
  9. Coordinate sales and Merchandising strategy with the Sales Reps to achieve sales target.
  10. Holds regular meeting with sales team
  11. Meets and/or arranges meetings with prospective customers to generate business for the company
  12. Explains departmental policies on writing off products, giving discounts, acquiring of gondolas.
  13. Handles request for general information, inquiries regarding policies and procedures and complaints
  14. Monitors the Sales budget and update sales area
  15. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, around times of orders, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  16. Prepare comprehensive written monthly report to department management highlighting market competition and customer’s activities and potential for new products and services.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

  1. Achieve volume, sales and marginal contribution targets on a market basis
  2. Builds excellent trust/working relationships through frequent contact with key customers

ACADEMIC/QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or Sales Management
  • or any other related field
  • Four years sales experience
  • One year of supervisory or lead experience
  • Must own or operate reliable motor vehicle

REQUIRED SKILLS AND SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES

  • Principles, Techniques and objectives of marketing, sales, and supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Principles and practices of supervision
  • Principles of sales, negotiation, and promotion
  • Principles of Accounting

ABILITY TO

  • Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others.
  • Implement and manage a sales program
  • Work cooperatively with employees and the General public
  • Comprehend and make inferences from written material
  • Make basic arithmetic calculation (addition, subtraction etc.) either manually or with a calculator.
  • Work independently and organize and assign staff to meet deadlines
  • Interpret and adhere to rules, regulations and policies when making decisions
  • Enter data or information into a computer terminal or other keyboard device
