Responsible for the development, performance and maintenance of the health and safety activities for guests and employees of the organization.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in plans and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with governmental and property rules and regulations.
Manage and provide instruction for all first AID, CPR AED training of Lay Rescuers for certification and re-certification.
Plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices.
Manage maintenance and inspections of emergency equipment.
Assist with the development and review of Health & Safety Manual, to include guidelines, standards, and protocols to meet acceptable requirements throughout the Resort.
Evaluate and report on the statistical data of all accidents and incidents of both guests and employees.
Conduct inspections of organizational facilities to detect existing or potential accidents and health hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated.
Work within approved budget and develop and maintain cost saving measures.
Performs other reason duties that may be required.
Job Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
Safety Professional (Inspector, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Hygienist, etc.), Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or similar certification preferred.
Certifications
Certified Emergency Medical Responder Trainer certification and/or American heart Association (AHA) First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor certification preferred.
Health/safety management certification
Driving license
Excellent communicative skills
Legal and regulatory knowledge concerning health and safety.
Excellent team player
Technical Skills
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint
Soft Skills
Excellent leadership skills and multitasking abilities
