Responsible for the development, performance and maintenance of the health and safety activities for guests and employees of the organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in plans and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with governmental and property rules and regulations.
  • Manage and provide instruction for all first AID, CPR AED training of Lay Rescuers for certification and re-certification.
  • Plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices.
  • Manage maintenance and inspections of emergency equipment.
  • Assist with the development and review of Health & Safety Manual, to include guidelines, standards, and protocols to meet acceptable requirements throughout the Resort.
  • Evaluate and report on the statistical data of all accidents and incidents of both guests and employees.
  • Conduct inspections of organizational facilities to detect existing or potential accidents and health hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated.
  • Work within approved budget and develop and maintain cost saving measures.
  • Performs other reason duties that may be required.

Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience
  • Safety Professional (Inspector, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Hygienist, etc.), Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or similar certification preferred.

Certifications
  • Certified Emergency Medical Responder Trainer certification and/or American heart Association (AHA) First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor certification preferred.
  • Health/safety management certification
  • Driving license
  • Excellent communicative skills
  • Legal and regulatory knowledge concerning health and safety.
  • Excellent team player

Soft Skills
