Supreme Ventures Services Limited is seeking to identify a suitable candidate for the role of Finance Officer - Accounts Payable .

Finance Officer - Accounts Payable 

The Finance Officer is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all clients and personnel.   Verifying the accuracy of all transactions and maintaining account integrity for customers with existing loans, as well as verifying the input into the accounting system. The Finance officer must be goal orientated, self-motivated, having excellent interpersonal skills with effective communications, strong organizational skills and PC skills. 

 

Key Functions:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Bank statements are printed and sent to branches in the absence of Accountant.
  • Responsible for the timely preparation of weekly/monthly Bank Reconciliation statements.
  • Responsible for ensuring all H/O customer statement reflect correct balances and agrees to LMS when requested.
  • Responsible for reviewing H/O Tracking report to ensure all transactions are accounted for and reconciled against receipt books, LMS and QuickBooks.
  • Responsible for conducting Credit Check request for assigned branches.
  • Assist with the resolution of credit issues in the absence of the Accountant/Administrator.
  • Verifying that all bank deposits are accurate and done under joint custody.
  • Responsible for receiving and posting invoices to vendor account (Accounts payable.)
  • Responsible for generating payment requisition and executing payment to customers/vendors.
  • Assist with initiation of Inter-bank transfer of loan disbursement on behalf of H/O and branches daily.
  • Responsible for verifying the correctness of the amount requested for refund and forward to the Administrator/Accountant/MD for approval.
  • Assist Accountant in the preparation of weekly/monthly/ yearly closings.
  • Assist with reviewing of income, expense, and other records that are assigned including Directors expenses, such as gas cards, credit cards etc.
  • Assist with other accounting projects/matters as and when needed.
  • Responsible to Enter claims cheques to SAGE.
  • Responsible to Investigate and respond to queries made by SV Games/Justbet customers.
  • Assist with processing of “Justbet Winnings” upload files.
  • Assist where necessary in the process of “Purses” payments
  • Assist where necessary in providing weekly payment report to JRC & BGLC
  • Assist with monthly audit schedules (accruals, Licence Obligations etc)

 

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience as an Accounting clerk.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Loan Management System and QuickBooks.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Accounting Standards
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent Facilitation Skills
  • Handles confidential matters with discretion and judgement
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, public speaking and presentation skills; as well as stakeholder management skills
  • Detail oriented and self-sufficient
  • Unquestioned integrity and highest ethical standards
  • Energetic, high capacity for hard work and able to manage tight and business-critical deadlines
  • Resilience
  • Minimum of Three (3) years of well-rounded experience in positions of increasing responsibility, managing and/or directing the receivables and payables portfolio, with a focus on strategic planning and execution, as well as at least two (2) years of experience in a senior leadership role.
