JOB SUMMARY

To manage services for ongoing business effectiveness and operations, through the utilization of the Tenders and Contracts management process, in compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act 2015, Regulations, Handbooks, Guidelines, and the Company’s policies and procedures.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure that Contracts management at NQCL is compliant with the Tenders and Contracts process and the General Guidelines – Management and Monitoring of Procurement Contracts. 
  • Execute Agreements and Contract variations.
  • Ensure Contractor registration and management.
  • Develop evaluation criteria and mechanisms for evaluating Contractor’s performance.
  • Network with customers and suppliers to form beneficial relationships for the Company.
  • Implement strategies to develop the capabilities of suppliers of services.
  • Conduct ongoing research into Contract Management and keep abreast with developments in the field of Supply Chain Management.
  • Review, evaluate and recommend changes to policies, procedures, and practices related to the procurement and management of services.
  • Provide technical and business guidance to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Implement change management strategies.
  • Conduct departmental budget monitoring and control utilization.
  • Implement the approved changes in policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure that the budget is optimized to meet fiscal targets.

Minimum qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Bachelor degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Institute of Procurement and Supply Level 5 
  • Proficient in Contract Law

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  •  A minimum of Eight (8) years’ relevant experience
