Bar Boy/Girl

Ensures that the bar is properly set up and operate efficiently, to the standards required by the Company. Receives beverage orders and assists with drink preparation and service accordingly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain beverage storeroom bar stock by receiving orders for all beverage and supplies requested by bartenders.
• Acknowledge and greet guest in a friendly, professional manner. Ensuring that guest interaction is efficient expedient and personalized; using guest names whenever it becomes available.
• Ensure all stocks are stored securely, reporting any losses immediately to Bartender and Manager. Assists in inventory as requested by Manager.
• Ensure that the bar is properly stocked in a timely manner, and fully stocked with glasses, condiments and ice before and during service.
• Responsible for replacing beverage items on bar by retrieving from storeroom in a timely manner.
• Ensure that bar is properly cleaner prior to opening and throughout shift.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Assist with receiving beverage orders from wait staff and/or guests at the bar; prepare drinks using the standard recipes ensuring that correct measures and ingredients are used.
• Assist with maintaining a tight control over beverages, ensuring that guest checks are pre-rung prior to the service of beverages.
• At the end of shift, ensures bar is left clean, organized and covered (where applicable). Ensures that garbage is taken to the designated area at the end of each shift.
• Ensure that all equipment are properly functioning at the bar; ensuring all malfunctions are reported to the Manager in a short period of time.
• Advise manager of all guest complaints.
• Attend daily line up, meetings and training when required.

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
• Minimum of 1 year beverage experience
• Food Handler's Certificate
