Accounting Clerk/Cashier

ACCOUNTING CLERK/CASHIER

We invite applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Accounting Clerk/Cashier at our Head Office. 

     

 FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generally deals with the public taking cash and making reports as to the cast take
  • Prepares daily cash and credit control sheets
  • Prepare daily lodgement and daily bank report
  • Prepare and file receipts
  • Prepare petty cash receipts and petty cash reports and reimbursements
  • Withdrawing filed cards for receipting and updating
  • Calculating GCT
  • Balancing and processing of Marketing Agents receipts/lodgements
  • Record keeping of postdated cheques
  • Keeps and maintains a Bad Debt Register

 

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 6 CXC/GCE/CSEC subjects including Principles of Accounts and  English Language
  • 1-2 years’ experience in cashiering, preferably in the insurance industry
