In order to meet the needs of our B2B customers in Barbados and the rest of the Eastern Caribbean region, we're in search of an exceptional

 

Senior Account Manager

 

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for supervising and leading B2B sales operations in the Eastern Caribbean region, actively participating in the sales process while managing a team.

 

In this position, your initial priority will be to improve the market approach and tactics, translating them into actionable plans in collaboration with the team. This approach aims to increase sales and foster strong relationships with our B2B clients so set budget and profit targets can be reached.

Moreover, the Senior Account Manager supervises team operations, ensures follow-up on appointments, provides coaching, and monitors progress, all while keeping the main emphasis on exploring new markets.

 

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for maintaining, and intensifying customer relations and contacts with (potential) customers such as contractors, project developers, and investors within the market area. He/she ensures that within this specific target group Kooyman is “top of mind” when it comes to purchasing building materials and hardware, available from stock as well as on special order.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:       

  • Developing and executing strategic plans
  • Leading and managing B2B sales teams
  • Maintaining customer relationships and contacts
  • Overseeing account management and budgeting
  • Proactively identifying new projects and potential customers

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a commercial or architectural area, supplemented with relevant vocational education and/or training;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with a strong background in managerial roles;
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and budgets;
  • Extensive knowledge of building materials and the hardware retail sector;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fluency in English;
  • Experience in managing teams across different countries is a plus;
  • Clear affinity with construction materials and/or the hardware retail industry;
  • Excellent experience with cold acquisition is a must;
  • Exceptional proven Account Manager Manager skills;
  • Independent, result-oriented individual;
  • Pro-active and full of initiative with a hands-on mentality;
  • Networker with excellent communication skills both oral and written.
