We are seeking a Junior Network administrator to join our dynamic team. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee the integrity, and availability of our network infrastructure by assisting in the designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's group networking systems.

The Junior Administrator will provide support for our helpdesk function, addressing network-related issues and troubleshooting as needed. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as requiring that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provide support to senior network administrators in configuring, maintaining, and updating network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving network issues under the guidance of senior staff. This could involve troubleshooting connectivity problems, identifying and resolving configuration errors, or addressing performance issues.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining basic security measures such as firewall configurations, access control lists (ACLs), and antivirus software. This may also involve monitoring for security breaches and assisting in incident response procedures.
  • Provide technical support to end-users experiencing network-related issues. This could include assisting with network connectivity, VPN setup, or basic network configurations on user devices. Additionally, helping users understand and adhere to network usage policies.
  • Assist in monitoring network performance and availability using monitoring tools. This may involve tracking bandwidth usage, identifying network congestion points, and generating basic performance reports.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Also, supporting the generation of reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance.
  • Work closely with senior network administrators and other IT teams to coordinate network-related tasks, share knowledge, and contribute to projects.
  • Helpdesk Monitoring and Support
  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure with remote-branch, corporate, wired, wireless, SDWAN, and multi-cloud environment.
  • Installs, maintains, and evaluates network systems and communications.
  • Monitor network performance and traffic to ensure network availability for main office and remote locations.
  • Provide technical support to computer system users on reported issues and service requests.
  • Maintained network security standards and escalation of situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Updates and maintains network documentation, assigns IP addresses, saves device configurations.
QUALIFICATIONS & DUTIES:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2 + years of related experience
  • One or more Industry-recognized certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exposure or experience with cloud platforms would be an asset.
